Global Institute of Ayurveda (GIA) and Global Ayurveda Hospital (GAH) are approved by National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), Ministry of AYUSH (New Delhi) affiliated to Gujarat Ayurved University (GAU) - Jamnagar. The institute and Hospital were established in 2014 by Shri. P.J.Mangrolia Charitable trust. It is located near the bank of Triveni-sangam river of Kasturbadham village on Rajkot-Bhavnagar highway.
The college campus is about 9 km from Aiidam and about 14km from the city. The atmosphere in the campus is pollution free, calm and in the presence of nature. Our campus is surrounded by farms and wildlife like Neelgai, peacocks is seen throughout the year.
Global institute of Ayurveda and Global Ayurveda Hospital has well equipped and well-furnished and organized all fourteen departments as per latest guidelines on NCISM
Department of Samhita Siddhanta and Sanskrit deals with teaching Ayurvedic Compendiums, Indian Philosophies (Bharateeya Darshna Shastra) and world’s oldest scientific language - Sanskrit language. It will be carried out by faculty members who are experienced in Samhita Siddhanta speciality and Sanskrit itself. As Sanskrit knowledge is indispensable for learning Ayurveda the department is also provided with an experienced Sanskrit faculty. Department of Samhita Siddhanta and Sanskrit is well known as ‘Basic Department’ for this Department plays pivotal role in instilling basic aspects of Ayurveda to the fresher students of BAMS course.
The team of Rachana Sharira department consists of highly efficient skilled teaching faculties. This Team is dedicated towards the holistic development of Rachana Sharir department in Global Institute of Ayurveda Rajkot. Our Department has spacious, well ventilated, fully equipped dissection hall for cadaveric dissection, specimen making and surface anatomy. It has ample supply of cadavers for students. We have well maintained specimen models, charts for study reference. We have departmental library with bone sets and books, which is always accessible to students for study purpose. Demonstration room is available for advance teaching methods as well as for traditional teaching methods.
Kriya means Process and the study of processes in the Sharir, i.e. Human body is known as Kriya Sharir. In this department the students will learn about the various processes that occur continuously in the various organs and organ systemsin the body. The basic principles of Ayurvedic kriya Sharir will be studied andelaborated to properly understand the normal state of Doshas [humors], Dhatus[tissues], Upadhatus [secondary tissues], Dhatu-malas [waste generated from thedhatus], Malas [excretory products], Srotas [the metabolic systems of tissues],AaharPaka [Digestive process], Prakriti-Vikriti [the different somatic andpsychosomatic patterns seen in different individuals], Sarata [the features due to efficient Dhatus], Manas [the consciousness], Nidra [Sleeping patterns], etc. Along with the above the students will learn about modern physiological conceptsof the Cell, Hematopoietic system, Cardio-vascular system, Respiratorysystem, Digestive system, Nervous system, Musculo-skeletal system and thesense organs, etc.
